Preliminary Objective:
Design an outdoor living room for residents that reflects natural radiance and upscale living.
Working alongside Gateway Development (owned by Fareri Associates, the builder behind this award-winning complex), Studer Design Associates aimed to incorporate an array of planters to enhance the landscape's aesthetic and functionality.
Custom Solution:
Modern Elite Aluminum Planters spread throughout the clubroom grand courtyard, spa fitness terrace, rear lobby terrace, and parking courtyard.
Tapered square planters framed doorways, while square planters with an elegant overhanging top lip were positioned in the courtyards and terraces to add visual appeal. Rectangular planters with integrated mesh screens supported lush greenery, providing privacy and a natural backdrop. 0.125" heavy-gauge, marine-grade aluminum fabricated with internal bracing was used to hold trees and small plantings. Planters were powder-coated in a Suede Bronze and Matte Black finish, depending on their respective final destinations.
Project Success:
A combination of durable planters spread levels of greenery and blooms throughout the expansive space.
This design won multiple awards, including National Community of the Year from The Nationals, the National Association of Home Builders' awards competition, and the 2018 Silver Award for Best Landscape Design.
