Preliminary Objective:
Separate two hallway areas for enhanced privacy and refreshed design.
As guests come and go from the National Cancer Institute, Furbish aimed to enhance a private meeting area that branched off from a busy hallway.
Custom Solution:
Build a green wall to host Zamioculcas zamiifolia plants (ZZ plants) to designate a calm waiting area.
The designers lined up Modern Elite Aluminum Planters with a Metallic Silver powder-coat finish and filled them with tall, sustainable ZZ plants to enhance the peace and seclusion for guests in the waiting areas. By adding Ollie Plant Sippers, staff has minimal maintenance requirements during their busy schedules.
Project Success:
The planters with a Metallic Silver powder-coat finish add a sleek and natural wall between the two spaces.
This eco-focused designer reinvigorated the waiting areas with simple, modern planters that support indoor planters for years to come. Guests can now enjoy a bit of calm in more natural surroundings as they wait and meet with the staff.
