Not for stock-sized planters, but we make a custom shelf for all the custom-made metal planters. Or, you can add non-biodegradable material to the planter's base to decrease the growing media needed.
If you prefer a Fiberglass Planter, we suggest using a non-biodegradable material in the base of the planter, like packing peanuts, then layer with landscape fabric followed by the recommended soil.
Yes. Add casters to our Modern Elite Powder-Coated Aluminum Planters. Casters are wheels added to the bottom of planters to make them more easily movable, with options for locking or non-locking mechanisms.
Add casters to your PureModern planters if they meet these requirements:
24” high and under with a minimum width of 16”
24” high and over with a minimum width of 18”
It depends. You do not need liners for marine-grade aluminum and fiberglass planters. Neither of these materials degrades when exposed to water and soil. Additionally, marine-grade aluminum and fiberglass planters can be made watertight, further removing the need for a liner.
Liners are good to use if the planter material will degrade when in constant contact with soil and water, such as a wood planter. Also, a liner is good to use in interior applications if the planter is not watertight.
